Summary

The Highest Road - Kyle Bryant

The stakes couldn’t be higher. It’s life or death.

Literally.

And when the modern medical system stacks the odds against you, what do you do?

You fight harder.

You take on the impossible.

You tackle what they say couldn’t be done.

This is a documentary about defying the odds, proving the doubters wrong, and offering hope where there was none.

It’s a story about climbing The Highest Road.

The Highest Road

Diagnosed decades ago with Friedreich’s Ataxia, Kyle and Sean have defied the odds – dedicating time, energy, and optimism to awareness and the dream of treatments that extend lives with FA.

Filmed over two years in the U.S. and India, The Highest Road involved complex logistics, extreme terrain, remote locations, and aerial drone cinematography.

It takes many people to find an effective treatment, develop it into a drug, and get it through regulatory approval. These are only a few of those heroes.

The Highest Road was directed by Allan Thompson, produced by Robert Carroll, written by Alex Schnitzler and edited by Daniel Laabs.
